#4 - The Mic Drop
From sonic logos to AI-generated cliffhangers, audio is cashing in - and your next company update might just need a theme song.
Founder’s Note
Buckle up, folks - this week we’re talking ear-candy you can cash in on, AI that turns your two-hour rambles into a nice little buffet of share-worthy content, and I make the argument why private podcasting is suddenly the hottest real-estate in internal comms.
The last weeks have been really crazy. March and April were stuffed with events, travel and getting the Q2 off to a good start. But on thing that just stuck in my head was the case of Media Markt and German Wahnsinn presented at this year’s Radio Advertising Summit. Media Markt is an electronics retailer and the largest electronics supermarket chain in Europe. They presented Media Markt’s new sonic branding and AI-powered audio creation tool/platform. Sonic branding and sound design have been a secret passion of mine for a number of years, because it is a sweet blend of music and business. And I am a big fan of both!

Meet us at OMR Festival in Hamburg next week!
So, this week I want to focus on that. Because from Mastercard’s six-note “ka-ching” that’s now recognisable in checkout queues from Berlin to Bogotá to Docusign’s brand-new “sound of trust” that fires the synapses every time a contract closes, sonic identity is officially mainstream and still too many companies miss out. I’ll also unpack the playbook on how your podcast can be turned into a content factory. You get three AI-obsessed podcast picks, and we end on a reckoning: maybe your next all-hands deck is just… a secure audio feed or as we ‘young folks’ like to call it: internal podcasts.
The Big Topic
Sonic Logos – they're the three-second power moves brands can't afford to skip anymore. With contactless payments booming, voice-first interactions becoming the norm, and podcasts exploding in popularity, audio branding is a new powertool in your company’s or brand’s toolbox. Even B2B SaaS giants like Docusign are hopping aboard the sonic branding train, embedding their signature “agreement swoosh” into every digital signature. It’s subtle, memorable, and instantly signals trust to users.
